Science Conference “Karazin Readings: Person. Language. Communication”

Call for papers

Dear colleagues!

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the XIV International Science Conference Karazin Readings: Pearson. Language. Communication to be held at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University on March 27, 2014.

Focus areas:

  • Specifics of the lexical system of national languages. Phraseology.
  • Translation Studies. Comparative linguistics. Ethnolinguistics.
  • Criteria, strategies and tactics of discourse. Discourse pragmatics.
  • Concept and its linguistic representation.
  • Text and genre. Literary discourses.
  • Modern approaches to foreign language teaching. Professional training of future philologists and translators. Foreign language teaching at non-language higher educational institutions.

Working languages: Ukrainian, Russian, West-European languages.

A report at the Plenary Meeting is up to 20 min, at the Section Meeting – 10 min. Discussion – 5 min.
